How to write to an external hard drive formatted NTFS on Mac?

I have a 1 TB Seagate HDD that I use to share content between my various PCs which are both Windows and Mac. The drive is formatted NTFS and works fine on all my Windows PC's, but I have read-only access on my MacBook. I need full access from all my various PCs, as I have some bigger files that I would like to move from Mac to Windows. I have tried the normal options to change the permissions on the Mac, but it won't let me. Please assist if possible. There must be a way that I can get full access to my drive without having to format it.

Of course, you can write to an external hard drive formatted with NTFS on Mac. iBoysoft NTFS for Mac is a good choice for you to write on it without formatting it.

As for the NTFS drive, you can only read it on Mac but write on it. iBoysoft NTFS for Mac is a professional app to mount your Windows NTFS drive in the read-write mode without formatting it. Using this software, you can delete, edit, rename, and write files on NTFS drives in macOS & Mac OS X freely.

You can follow the below steps to read and write on your NTFS drive. If necessary, you've been asked to install an NTFS driver by iBoysoft and enable System Extensions to gain full disk access.

  1. Free download and activate iBoysoft NTFS for Mac.
  2. Connect your NTFS drive to your Mac.

After you connect your drive successfully, you can mount your NTFS drive in read-write mode.
